The event, which also included a 1/4 mile run for ages 3-8, involved participants being “plastered” with colored powder as they ran through the course.
A one-of-a-kind experience that is less about speed and more about enjoying time with friends and family while becoming a human canvas,” said volunteer Johanna Ulicny. She added that the event is for runners and walkers of all speeds, ages, shapes and sizes.Colors For Education 5K Family Color RunWalk, Sports Stadium, Tamaqua, 9-27-2014 (423)Participants were asked to wear white shirts, as to be covered with colored powder throughout the course.
