Board members and volunteers with the Cancer Telethon (CancerTelethon.org) or holding a volunteer meeting on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 6:30 PM to discuss the 2015 ACS Telethon, auction and upcoming events.
The meeting is being held at the telethon office, 33 West Ridge Street in Lansford, starting at 6:30 PM.
“While the Carbon-Tamaqua American Cancer Society Telethon airs one weekend a year, telethon work and fundraising continues year-round. The real work in making each Telethon a success takes place the other 51 weeks of the year,” said Joe Krushinsky, 27-year telethon chairman and co-founder.
All interested participants are encouraged to attend the meeting.
“If you have a friend, family member, or know of a new volunteer, that would like to get involved with the telethon, please invite them to attend this meeting,” added Krushinsky.
