Even though it is not in the Tamaqua area, the following 2-day event is still worth visiting. The Annual Redball Gilbert Military Vehicle Rally and Swap Meet is scheduled Friday, September 19 and Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 8 AM to 5 PM both days.
The event, organized by the Redball Military Transport Club, takes place at the West End Fairgrounds, 570 Fairgrounds Road, along US209 in Gilbert. It is located about 45 minutes east of Tamaqua.
Among the many types of vehicles on display, the M38 Jeep will be the featured vehicle. Volunteers will also hold a cannon demonstration.
The event is held rain or shine.
