A comment from Tamaqua Blue Raider Football page reads, “Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with the Malkin family. Coach Dave Malkin was a standup guy with so much class and respect for the people around him and the Blue Raider Football Program. Coach Malkin fought a courageous fight against Cancer. Many student athletes looked up to him, and was a favorite to many Tamaqua Blue Raider Football players.  You will not be forgotten and those boys in blue will continue to fight for you on the field week in and week out. Rest easy.”
