Tamaqua’s South Ward Playground volunteers presented a memorial arrangement in memory of the late John “Sonny” Trudich Jr. during their Tamaqua September 11 Service held at the playground this past Thursday.
Trudich Jr., 81, who passed away this March, served Tamaqua in many ways, to include serving as a Tamaqua Borough Council member since 2001, and longtime devoted member of the Tamaqua South Ward Playground Association, Tamaqua Owl Creek Reservoir Commission, Tamaqua Bungalow Park Committee, Tamaqua SS. Peter and Paul Church, and others. He also served in the Army during the Korean War.
During the service, volunteers and officials praised Trudich for his tireless dedication to the playground and community.
