Providence Service Corporation and the PA CareerLink of Schuylkill County are presenting a full-day of veterans-related programs on Friday, September 12, 2014 in Pottsville. The event will take place from 9 AM to 3 PM at the PA CareerLink office, 203 East Arch Street, in Pottsville.
The goal of the program is to reach out and give local service members and their spouses the opportunity to become educated in different programs via personal guidance from professionals.
Information and resources provided will include disability compensation, pension, family services/counseling, housing assistance, survivor benefits, social security, vocational rehabilitation and employment, GI Bill, burial arrangements, life insurance, home loans, Affordable Care Act, and so on. The event will also include free health screenings, food and prizes.
A mobile unit from the Department of VA Health and PA Department of Military Veterans Affairs will be on site for immediate enrollment. Please bring a DD-214 (military or civilian), medical records, death certificates, marriage license. SSD/SSI information, driver’s license, etc.

10 AM – 10:45 AM: Finance/Insurance/Social Security.
11 AM – 11:45 AM: Counseling/Family Services/Homeless.
12 PM – 12:45 PM: Education/Career Services/OVR.
