An arrest has been made today (Wednesday, September 10, 2014) in relation to a burglary this past weekend at Lehigh Tire in Tamaqua. (Click HERE to read the TamaquaArea.com story about the burglary.)
Tamaqua Police and Tamaqua Borough workers spent a couple hours today removing tools and parts from an apartment and garage at 21 West Spruce Street in Tamaqua.
According to a new Times News article by Kathy Kunkel, Thomas Kehl, 24, of 21 Spruce Street, apt 1, in Tamaqua, was arrested.
In addition to the burglary at Lehigh Tire, someone stole parts off of vehicles parked in the All American Jeep lot next door. Both burglaries occurred around the same time. It is not officially known if the crimes are related.

Lehigh Tire Manager Marie Morgan said she contacted police after seeing some of her tools for sale on “The NEW Carbon County Online Yard Sale Site…” Facebook page. Those sale posts have since been deleted.
Morgan praised the Tamaqua Police Department for their investigation and quick response.
