FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO FIRE AT POPULAR RESTAURANT IN NESQUEHONING

Firefighters and other emergency responders were called around 7 AM today (Sunday, September 7, 2014) to Le Quattro Stagioni Restaurant, also known as DiMaggio’s Pizza, 1130 East Catawissa Road, along US209 in Nesquehoning after a passerby spotted smoke coming from the roof.
Smoke could be seen pouring out of the eaves to the restaurant. Firefighters responded quickly and limited the fire to the roof of the structure.
This was one of three calls Nesquehoning firefighters responded to today.
The cause of the fire is unknown as of today.
Responding were firefighters from Nesquehoning, Hauto, New Columbus, Summit Hill, Lansford, and others. Nesquehoning Police, Mahoning Valley Ambulance and Lehighton Ambulance also responded.
