Community members, visitors and guests are given the opportunity to express their artistic or creative sides via the Black Diamond Pottery (BDP) pottery and clay classes held regularly at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center.
Craig Bulger, of Tamaqua, who serves as the volunteer coordinator and instructor for BDP, said, “The classes teach numerous skills related to pottery, clay and ceramics. Or they can just come to simply play with clay.”
Bulger added that the fees for the class primarily pay for supplies and help support the center.
Weekly class times are:
MONDAY’S (Pottery and Ceramics): 1 PM to 3 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM.
THURSDAY’S (Youth Pottery and Ceramics) (Ages 10 and Up): 6 PM to 8 PM.
SATURDAY’S (Pottery and Ceramics): 11 AM to 1 PM.
Other class times or private instruction is also available by appointment. The center also offers birthday’s and private parties.
