Members and volunteers with the Tamaqua Community Arts Center are holding a Jam Session today (Thursday, August 14, 2014) at the center.
Message in Facebook says, “Bring your Fenders, bring your Gibsons, bring your Epiphone but leave your restraint at home! We’ll have a bass amp, we’ll have a drum kit. We have two mics. You just bring your drumsticks and your axes and them four-string thumpin’ thangs! All musicians are welcome, regardless of skill level. Come on out and have a great time in our air-conditioned hall!”
They are asking that all participants and spectators donate only $3.  Donations collected go to music programs at the center (125 Pine Street in Tamaqua).
