A Yoga fundraiser class is being held today (Monday, August 11, 2014) at 6:15 PM at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center to raise donations for ‘The Wounded Warrior Project’ through the ‘Ride With Pride 2’ in memory of SPC Christina Joy Leone. The class, being taught by instructor Amy O’Brien, will last until around 7:30 PM.
O’Brien said on Facebook:
“Every single class I teach is personal, special and carefully planned by yours truly making each one my baby. Monday, however, is extra special and tugs some major heart strings. This class is dedicated to a very special young woman who was taken from us all way too soon. We are raising money for the Wounded Warrior Project in loving memory of SPC Christina Joy Leone. Even if yoga “isn’t your thing” or you’ve never done it before, please consider letting your guard down to come out and stretch, breathe and donate to 2 amazing causes – The Wounded Warrior Project and the Tamaqua Community Art Center. I hope to see you on your mats. We start at 6:15 PM.”
The center is located at 125 Pine Street in Tamaqua.
