VOLUNTEERS CLEAN LITTLE SCHUYLKILL RIVER AND ITS BANKS IN TAMAQUA

River Cleanup, Little Schuylkill River, next to Boyer's Food Market, Tamaqua, 8-9-2014 (34)Tamaqua residents (and sisters) Stacei Faust, a 2003 Tamaqua graduate, and Emily Zancofsky, a 2012 Tamaqua graduate, organized a River Cleanup event yesterday (Saturday, August 9, 2014) in and along the Little Schuylkill River (next to Boyer’s Food Market) in Tamaqua.
Zancofsky credited Faust’s 4-year old daughter, Peyton Faust, for coming up with the idea.
Volunteers helping Faust and Zancofsky were (in no specific order) Brianna Dinsmore, Kaitlyn Bender, Olivia Lattanzi, Kyle Faust, Sarah Maue, Ashley Smith, Robert Homyak, Jamie Homyak and others.
River Cleanup, Little Schuylkill River, next to Boyer's Food Market, Tamaqua, 8-9-2014 (3)Schuylkill Trout Unlimited members John Bondura and Earl Simmons also helped in the cleanup.
Boyer’s Food Market donated garbage bags and other supplies.
Faust and Zancofsky stated their appreciation to all the volunteers who showed up to help, and to the Tamaqua Borough for their support.
