Water Boil Advisory Lifted, Dutch Hill, IMAGE, Tamaqua, 7-21-2014Many residents in the Dutch Hill section of Tamaqua received a paper notice today (Friday, August 1, 2014) from the Tamaqua Area Water Authority informing them that the current water boil advisory is lifted.
The advisory reads:
“As a customer of the Tamaqua Area Water Authority, you were notified on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, of a problem with our drinking water and were advised to not drink the water before boiling it.
We are pleased to report that repairs have been completed as per DEP regulations. Four sets of samples have been taken and tested by a certified lab and all tests came back negative for bacteria. Therefore, the problem has been corrected and it is not longer necessary to boil your drinking water.”
