Members of the Carbon Schuylkill Community Theater (CSCT) are presenting performances of ‘The Sound of Music’ at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center today (Friday, August 1, 2014) at 7 PM and tomorrow (Saturday, August 2, 2014) at 2 PM and 7 PM.
This will be CSCT’s final show under the title Carbon Schuylkill Community Theater. CSCT is in the process of combining with other local theaters to become a larger and expanded group.

Rodgers; Mother Abbess – Martha Cox; Max Detweiler – Jake Tokosh; Elsa Schrader – Chanita Guerrero; Rolf – Stephen Hajcak; Liesl – Mikayla Blakeslee; Friedrich – Andrew Surotchak; Louisa – Kylie Kresge; Kurt – Nicholas Surotchak; Brigitta – Marie Evans; Martin – Carson Surotchak ;Gretl – Brooklyn Surotchak; Sister Margaretta – Kelly Surotchak; Sister Sophia – Brenda Fritzinger; Sister Berthe – Jennifer Betz; Ursula – Shirley Rodgers; Frau Schmidt – Karen Tartar; Herr Zeller – Kevin Killian; Admiral von Schreiber – Zane Bachert;  andNew Postulant – Elizabeth Surotchak.
Tickets are available performing members, by calling the art center at (570) 668-1192 or at the door. Tickets are $10. Seniors and students are discounted.
