Rush Township Police, Hometown Fire Company and Hometown Fire Police were dispatched around 1:50 AM today (Monday, July 14, 2014) to Pine Creek Drive (SR54) near the intersection of Holly Road for a fallen tree blocking both lanes.
The road was closed during the tree removal.
Officials (to include firefighters, fire police volunteers and Rush Township patrolman Jeff Tanner) spent about 20 minutes cutting and removing the large tree from the road. Road was reopened a short time later.
A speed limit sign was damaged when the tree fell.
