Tamaqua Water Department workers are on scene this evening (Sunday, July 13, 2014) of a water main leak at the intersection of Welsh Road and Elmore/Ortega Street in Hometown (Rush Township).
Water could be seen shooting over 4 feet in the air at the leak.
About 10 days ago, crews had fixed another leak along Elmore Street.
The new leak, which involves a valve, was spotted just before 7 PM.
Water is shutoff for residents around the area. As of 8 PM, there is no water boil advisory.
Repair work is expected to last late into the night or early Monday morning.
