HOOTENANNY SUNDAY IN SUMMIT HILL

6-29-2014, Hootenanny, Summit HillThe third annual Summit Hill Hootenanny is being held today (Sunday, June 29, 2014) from 11 AM to 8 PM at Ludlow Park (West Ludlow Street) in Summit Hill.
Organizers stated the event is held to celebrate the musical and cultural history of Summit Hill and the surrounding areas.
The event consists of numerous music performers, workshops, ethnic foods, craft vendors, children’s activities, a cornhole tournament, and Summit Hill Historical Society museum tours.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair.
Many musical genres will be represented, such as bluegrass, polka, folk, Americana, reggae/ska, and more.
This year’s hootin’ and hollerin’ lineup consists of
11:00 AM: Joe Urban.
12:15 PM: Texas Rose Band.
1:30 PM:  Big Valley Bluegrass.
2:45 PM: Ecospheres: Jazz.
4:00 PM:  Coal County Express.
5:15 PM: Free Range Folk.
6:30 PM: The Boiled Owls.
