PennDOT road repairs on North Railroad Street (SR309) in Tamaqua has traffic backed up the Hometown Hill and up to the main intersection (SR54 and SR309) in Hometown.
Tamaqua’s side roads are also congested, as many drivers are finding alternate routes through the borough.
Rose Street and Vine Street (at the intersections of North Railroad Street) are closed during the repairs. West Elm Street is open.
Workers estimate to be done between 4 – 5:30 PM today.
