A fallen tree on wires has resulted in the closure of both lanes of Hauto Highway (SR54) – about one mile east of the main entrance to Lake Hauto.
The call came in shortly after 12:30 AM today (Thursday, June 12, 2014).
As of 2:30 AM, PPL crews were on scene performing repairs.
As of 2:45 AM, police, firefighters and fire police continued to control traffic at various locations.
Responding were Rush Township Police, Hometown Fire Company, Hometown Fire Police, Quakake Fire Police, Nesquehoning Police and Nesquehoning Fire Police.
Crews estimate the road to be open before 4 AM.
