Members of the Tamaqua Salvation Army, volunteers, board members and other supporters held their Annual Community and Volunteer Appreciation Dinner recently at the center.
The catered event included a dinner, music via the bell choir, awards program, and speeches from various volunteers and supporters.
Board chairman Micah Gursky welcomed everyone to the event.
Opening prayer was said by Major Sharon Whispell.
Senior representative Geraldine “Gerry” Kline spoke of her love for the Corps and its programs.
In addition, soldier Cathy Johnston performed a special dance.
Also speaking were social service representative Mary Ann Reed and youth representative Mario Morales.
Tamaqua’s Mayor Chris Morrison also attended the event, and even joined in during the bell choir.
