RUSH TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS DISCUSS NUMEROUS TOPICS DURING REGULAR MEETING (May 15, 2014); (VIDEO)

Rush Township Supervisors held their monthly meeting last week (Thursday, April 17, 2014) at the Rush Township Municipal Building in Hometown.
All three supervisors were present during the meeting. They are Chairman Shawn E. Gilbert, Vice-Chairman Robert J. Leibensperger and supervisor Jeaninne Motroni.
Numerous items were brought up.
Some include:
– Motion to allow St. Jerome Regional School to hold its annual 5K walk/run on township roads on June 15, 2014 and for Rush Township Fire Police to direct traffic during the event.
– Motion for Rush Township Fire Police to help direct traffic for the 2014 United Dream Ride being held on August 10, 2014 as it travels through Rush Township.
– Motion to adopt Resolution #2014-12 giving notice that certain trees located within or hanging over certain Township right-of-ways.
– Motion to authorize the solicitor to proceed with tax exemption on the recently obtained property containing pump station.
– Motion to finalize the Ankiewicz settlement regarding Bnosky Street repair.
Rush Township’s Police Report Stats for April 2014:
– District Justice fine money totaled $2,424.72.
– Total miles on police vehicles for April was 4,095 miles.
– Total calls, complaints, and incidents handled by police were 422.
– Citations for April totaled 92.
– Total parking tickets for April were 14.
Supervisors comment:
– Residents are urged to register for the Code Red Emergency Notification System on the Township website. Remember to click “verify” at the end.
– Any correspondence sent to the Township that does not have a signature will be acted upon.
Leaf and branch collection are over, pick up will start again in October.
