
Members of the Notre Dame Club (NDC) of Schuylkill County held their Annual Community Food Drive to benefit the Tamaqua Salvation Army’s Food Pantry. NDC members decorated and dropped off boxes and barrels at St. Jerome School, Marian High School, Tamaqua American Legion and the East End Fire Company.
Members, who stated that over 500 non-perishable items were donated, stated their appreciation for all who donated or supported the food drive.
Tamaqua Salvation Army Major Sharon Whispell gave her added appreciation for everyone who donated.
On-hand during the donation today (Friday, May 23, 2014) were Frank McCarroll, Mark McCarroll, Tom McCarroll Sr, Jim Mansell, Derek Smarr (represented by Joe Smarr) and Tamaqua Salvation Army Major Sharon Whispell.
