A number of area teachers, school staff and friends of team “Teachers For Ta Tas” participated in the 5K Dirty Girl Mud Run and Obstacle Course last weekend in Scranton.
The for-profit event, held at various venues throughout the country, helps raise donations and awareness for breast cancer prevention and awareness.
Participant Lori Kane, from Kelayres, said climbing over the wall and the rope wall were one of the biggest challenges. “Really makes me have to conquer my fear of heights,” said Kane. “I always think I’m going to fall.”
On Facebook, Kane and her friends stated their excitement of the event and their hopes of attending it again next year.
