The Tamaqua Community Arts Center will be holding a “WoodShock” concert today (Friday, May 9, 2014) from 7 PM to 10 PM at the center. The concert will feature Alternative Indie Band “Shock Value”, singer/song writer Luke Williams, and comedian Nick Mayernick.

Below is the schedule:
7:00 – 7:30 PM: Comedian Nick Mayernik. Self-described as “15 minutes of mediocrity”, comedy genius Nick Mayernik is sure to deliver the exact opposite of what he’s quoted as saying.
7:30 – 8:00 PM: Singer/Songwriter Luke Williams.  Singer/Songwriter, musician and performer with a defined acoustic pop/rock sound ready to deliver a soulful half hour of nothing but singin’ and shreddin’.
8:00 – late: Shock Value.  Alternative band Shock Value, as the headliners of the event, are ready to tear the house down with a unique combination of sound, lights, and visuals. SV is proud to be hosting this event and are sure it’s going to be a blast.

Doors open at 6:15 PM.
Tickets are $7 adults, $5 for students/seniors. Tickets are limited to 150.
Half proceeds benefit Tamaqua Community Arts Center.
Strobe lights and lasers will be used in the performance.
