Parishioners and members of the New Life Assembly of God Church in Tamaqua are holding a Feed The Need event this Saturday (May 10, 2014) for Tamaqua residents.
Pre-registration is mandatory and will be tomorrow (Wednesday, May 7, 2014) from 12 PM to 8 PM at the church’s office (209 East Elm Street) in Tamaqua.
The Feed The Need giveaway event on Saturday will last from 10 AM to 1 PM and include free groceries (one bag per family/household), free clothing at the church’s Blessing Shoppe, Free Kids Haircuts, free games for the kids and a free lunch for the family. Organizers said the event is for Tamaqua residents only, due to limited donations. A photo ID and proof of current residency (18252) is required. Residency proof could include a recent utility bill, voter ID card, rent receipt, etc.
Everyone will be asked to view a 10-minute presentation before receiving any items. Presentations will run every 15 minutes.
