The congregation of the Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church in Summit celebrated 175 years (April 19, 1839 to 2014) during a special anniversary service held Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the church.
Visitors to the service were given a detailed 100-page booklet (see below) containing the chronological and social history from the early days up to the current day of the church. The booklet also included brief details about the sister churches of Mauch Chunk (Jim Thorpe), Tamaqua and Lansford – who’ve since merged with the Summit Hill church.
Page down further to view the booklet – which contains the entire history of the church.
