WALK-A-MILE-IN-HER-SHOES PHOTOS, VIDEO

Members and volunteers with SARCC (Sexual Assault Resource & Counseling Center of Schuylkill County) held their 4th Annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes® fundraising event on Thursday, April 24, 2014 in Pottsville, PA.
The event, which started and end at the Humane Fire Company (200 Humane Avenue), involved men (of all ages) walking one mile in women’s high-heeled shoes to protest sexualized violence, educate their communities and raise money for chronically underfunded rape crisis centers, domestic violence shelters and other sexualized violence prevention and recovery services.
A number of walking individuals and groups were recognized following the event. They were Eric Becker (Most Stylish/Highest Heel Individual), Lenny and Toga (Most Stylish Team), Penn State (Penn State), Christy Joy (Most Team Spirit), Thomas Schaeffer (Oldest Participant), Nikolai Bradley, 10 (Youngest Participant).
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® is an International Men’s march to stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence. It is a project of Venture Humanity, Inc. a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation.
