Tamaqua Boy, Cub and Girl Scouts collected over 500 eyeglasses for the Tamaqua Lions Club “Sight Night” One Sight Program. This was the sixth year the scouts participated in the drive. Scouts who participated in the drive earned both a certificate and a badge for collecting 10 or more glasses each. First time collectors also received a special patch from the Tamaqua Lions Club.
Scouts who collected between 10 and 15 eyeglasses were Ty Mauer, Nicholas Postupack, Aiden Mlynek, Corey Martin, Eric Richardshon, Bryce Bieber, Logan Buccieri, Dalton Sadusky, Zachary Swinburne, Mason Pennbirth, Derek DeAngelo, Anthony DeAngelo, Bradley McAloose, Devlin Rascavage, Nicholas Wall, Noelle Schuler, Audrey Florea, Helen Florea, Ashley DeAngelo, Victoria Carrell, Morgan Nelson, Emma Frohnheiser, Layla Kunkel, Kalie Woodring, Alivia Woodring, Emily Lang, Cassidy Englert, Chloe Englert, Courtney Kovatch, Caitlin Kovatch, Taylor Wargo, Julie Anna Liebsch, Alyssa Alabovitz, Kali Alabovitz, Jessie Lacrosse, Haley Karnish, McKayla Wall, Kallia Wall, Julia Romankow, Erica Goho and Ryann Goho.
Top collectors were Rachael Paisley (who collected 73 eyeglasses) and Gabby Blasko (who collected 36 eyeglasses).
