Pictured operating the new sound box of the Tamaqua Community Arts Center are center director Leona Rega and volunteer Doug Betz.
Jam sessions are held the 2nd Thursday of the month from 6:30 PM to 9 PM.
PA system and 2 microphones are provided – with 6 available XLR inputs, trap set, bass and guitar amps, and keyboard.
However, it is admissible to bring your own microphones, stands instruments and amplifiers. “There is no need to mike instrument amps, as the room is acoustically fantastic,” said Rega.
Leona added that the format for the events are loose. Musicians will be called up to play in the order that they sign up.
Non-alcoholic refreshments will be sold to benefit the center.
Musicians and spectators are urged to attend.
For any questions or comments, please call the center during the day at (570) 668-1192 or via email at Leona@tacp.info.
The center operates under the auspices of the Tamaqua Area Community Partnership.
