COMFORT INN (WEST HAZLETON) DONATES HUNDREDS OF BEDDING ITEMS TO TAMAQUA SALVATION ARMY

Comfort Inn in West Hazleton donated hundreds of used sheets, blankets, comforters, bed skirts and pillows were donated to the Tamaqua Salvation Army.
Members of the Tamaqua Volunteers rented a 26-foot rented box truck to transport all the items to Tamaqua in preparation for the distribution later this month. Cheryl Leone and family, of West Penn, donated $100 towards the rental truck.
Some of the donated items were given to recent fire victims who had lost everything in a fire in Newkirk.
The large remainder of the donated items will be given away during the next community giveaway planned for Saturday April 26, 2014 next to the Schickram’s Car Wash in Tamaqua. Giveaway will start at 9:15 AM sharp.
Anyone, no matter where you live, will be able to receive these bedding items during the giveaway.
The other items at the giveaway are only for residents with a 18252 zip code.
