About 13 members of the community showed up during a playground volunteer meeting recently at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center.
New organizers of the North and Middle Ward Playground are looking for community members to help manage and volunteer with the playground.
Organizers Ray Sell and Rob Bachert said the future of the park depends on volunteers.
Sell said on Facebook,”Please consider donating to the North & Middle Ward Playground. If ya can’t afford money then how bout donating something free – and that’s time.”
Sell added, “I grew up at this park and now my kids are.”
