MAJESTIC HOUSE HOLD THEIR OWN HOODIE HOO; (VIDEO)

Residents of the Majestic House Apartments in Tamaqua waved goodbye to winter blues today (Thursday, March, 20, 2014) as they cheered on the first day of spring by holding their own version of Hoodie Hoo. The signs they waved said “goodbye winter” and “welcome spring.”
Normally held annually on February 20, Hoodie-Hoo involves people going outside at noon, waving their hands over their heads and chanting “Hoodi-Hoo” over and over again.
Sandy Davis (service coordinator) and Cheryl Martuscelli (Property Manager) said that harsh winter resulted in the residents holding the event one-month late. They added that they anticipate having the event every year.
Traditionalists state the affair as a fun day held to chase away winter blues and bring in spring.
