Tamaqua and Rush Township Police worked together today (Friday, March 14, 2014) to lift a pickup truck cap from US309 northbound (near All American Jeep) in Tamaqua. The incident was reported around 4:30 PM.
At about the same time, a car was rear-ended by a truck in the southbound lane a short distance away.
No serious injuries were observed.
It is unknown if the police know who owns to truck cap.
Unofficial word states that a towing company from Hazleton lost the cap from a towed vehicle.
