BLUE RECYCLING BINS REMOVED TODAY IN HOMETOWN; NEW RECEPTACLE AT RUSH TOWNSHIP’S MUNICIPAL BUILDING

???????????????????????????????Officials removed all the blue recycling bins today (Friday, March 14, 2014) from the parking lot of the Hometown Fire Company. Rush Township supervisors made the decision last year to replace the blue bins with roadside recycling pickup. Local residents and out-of-towners can still drop off recyclables at a large gray recycling receptacle located in the parking lot of the Rush Township Municipal Building.
Advanced Disposal Services (ADS), of Northampton, has been collecting curbside recycling along with resident’s normal trash pickup.
