An unidentified man was taken to the hospital for unknown injuries after flipping his vehicle around 5:45 PM today (Friday, March 14, 2014) along the northbound lane of Interstate 81 in Mahanoy Township.
The incident, which occurred near mile marker 134.6, was initially reported as a rollover with fire. Emergency personnel arrived quickly and controlled the scene.
Northbound traffic was backed up for about 2-3 miles south of the accident.
Responding were State Police, Delano Fire Company, Ryan Township Fire Company, McAdoo Fire Company and Ryan Township Rescue/EMS.
State Police are investigating.
