Actors, members and volunteers with the Tamaqua Community Arts Center and Tamaqua Area Community Theatre were grateful to receive free pizzas from Tommy’s Hoagie Shop yesterday (Friday, March 14, 2014).
While practicing for a performance of “The Velveteen Rabbit”, volunteers ordered four pizza’s from Tommy’s Hoagie Shop. After arriving to pick up the order, employees said they talked with their boss and chose to donate the pizzas to the volunteers.
“It is such a great thing to know that the community and area businesses support the center,” said center coordinator Leona Rega, who added the center’s appreciation to all those who donate to the center.
