The Tamaqua Student Government Association (TASGA), in conjunction with Leadership Council, National Honor Society, Junior national Honor Society, and the Biology Club are hosting their third annual Tamaqua Mini-thon on Saturday, March 8, 2014, in the high school gym.
Proceeds from the Mini-thon will be donated at the 35th annual American Cancer Society Telethon to be held at Penn’s Peak on Sunday, April 6, 2014.  All proceeds will benefit Pediatric Cancer Research.
The theme for the mini-thon is “Kids Helping Kids.”  Popular events include:
– Faculty vs. student basketball game from 1 PM to 3 PM. Cost is $2 for students and $5 for adults.
– High School Student Volleyball Tournament from 3 PM to 5 PM. Cost is $2 for students and $5 for adults.
– Open Swim Pool party and games for elementary students from 5 PM to 9 PM. $5-$10 donation requested.
The event is open to the public. Food and drinks will be available.  T-shirts will be on sale as well.
