Owners and employees with Ziegler’s Towing and Repair in Hometown have volunteered many man-hours and supplies over the past few weeks cleaning and touching up old theater seats that once belonged inside the Tamaqua Little Theater, 22 West Broad Street.
The 66 theater chairs, stored at the Pine Street garage since the closing of the theater, were acquired recently by the Tamaqua Community Arts Center to replace the church pews originally used to seat visitors to the center.
“The art center is one of our area’s greatest entertainment and arts venues,” said Ronny Zieger, owner, Ziegler’s Towing and Repair. “This is truly something amazing.”
If you wish to see the completed seats, feel free to attend the center’s 2nd Year Anniversary and Renovation Celebration on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 from 7:30 PM to 9 PM at the center, 125 Pine Street. The event is free.
The center’s website is www.TamaquaArts.org. Their Facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/TamaquaCAC.
