The Summit Hill Lions Club will be celebrating it’s 15-year anniversary on March 30, 2014.
Some members of the club met today (Feb. 26, 2014) at the Mansion House Restaurant in Summit Hill. They praised the efforts of the club’s founder and first president Jerome Rhodunda, who passed away in 2006.
The club routinely supports a wide array of area community organizations and activities; to include the Summit Hill Food Pantry, Carbon County Friends of Animals, St. Luke’s Hospital, Tamaqua Salvation Army, Schuylkill Carbon Marine Corps League Detachment 626 Toys For Tots, Summit Hill Historical Society/Heritage Center, Ludlow Park, and local student scholarships.
In celebration of their 15-year anniversary, the club will be providing an additional donation to the Summit Hill Food Pantry.
The club meets every Tuesday (with today as the exception) at 6 PM at various locations. For more information, contact the club at (570) 645-7621, ckmm@ptd.net or PO Box 123, Summit Hill PA 18250.
