A number of topics were brought up during yesterday’s Tamaqua Borough Council meeting held at the Borough Hall. Like all meetings, residents are encouraged to attend and speak during the meeting. Some topics and discussions included:
– Snow removal schedule.
– Using outside contractors to help remove snow.
– Adding start and end times to posted signs regarding snow removal.
– Parking meters in front of ABC Hi-Rise.
– Looking into trying a traffic speed monitoring sign for the Tamaqua Police Department.
– Chris Cruz as a new part-time police officer.
– Residents leaving snow around hydrants.
– Borough garbage contract.
Their next meeting is set for Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 7 PM. The public is encouraged to attend and get involved.
