HOPE AND HEALING SERVICE POSTPONED TO SUNDAY IN TAMAQUA

Hope-HealingDue to weather conditions, the ecumenical Service of Healing and Hope originally planned for this evening (Feb. 13, 2014) has been moved to Sunday (Feb. 16, 2014) starting at 6:30 pm at Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 223 East Broad Street. The community service is being sponsored by the Tamaqua Area Faith Fellowship Network (TAFFN). The vent is in response to some of the difficult events that have transpired in the area in the last two weeks.
From the organizers: “It has been a difficult past few weeks for the people of Tamaqua. We had a meth lab bust. We lost a husband and wife in an auto accident. We lost another resident in an apparent homicide. And one of our families lost a baby.”
All are welcome. For additional information, contact the Reverend Kevin Roberts at (570) 668-2520.
