6 inches of snow has fallen in Tamaqua as of 11 AM.
Today’s heavy snow will continue into the late afternoon; followed by a mixture of snow and freezing rain the rest of the day. This includes 30 MPH wind gusts later in the day.
The snow and freezing rain will diminish around 2 AM Friday.
Forecasters are guessing that our area will get from 8 to over 12 inches of snow.
Friday’s weather will be sunny skies.
