SNOW, ICE AND HIGH WINDS FOR THURSDAY

Although Thursday’s weather forecast for Tamaqua is up for much debate, we can say for sure that it will involve snow, freezing rain and high winds.
Snowfall should begin shortly after midnight tonight.
Thursday’s precipitation will include heavy snow during the early morning into the late afternoon; followed by a mixture of snow and freezing rain the rest of the day.
Wind gusts are expected to reach 30 MPH later in the day Thursday.
The snow and freezing rain will diminish around 2 AM Friday.
Forecasters are guessing that our area will get from 4 to over 12 inches of snow.
Friday’s weather will be sunny skies.
