Tamaqua Borough workers are working to remove snow from area roadways.
This morning, workers removed snow from:
– Broad Street: South side from the railroad tracks at Patterson Street west to Odd Fellows.
– Center Street: Both sides from Broad Street to Route 309 Bridge.
– Greenwood Street: Both sides from Broad to Mauch Chunk Street.

Borough workers will continue snow removal tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014). Snow removal can start anytime after 12:01 AM on the posted day. People are asked to remove their vehicles from the following areas.
– Broad Street: north side from the railroad tracks at Patterson Street west to Odd Fellows.
– Mauch Chunk Street: Both sides from Broad Street to Mauch Chunk Street.
– Pine Street: Both sides from Broad Street to Hegarty Avenue.
– Berwick Street: Both sides from Broad Street to Hegarty Avenue.
– Nescopec Street: Both sides from Cottage Avenue to Hegarty Avenue.
– Swatara Street: Both sides from the iron steps to Lafayette Street.
