State Police are shutting down Interstate 81 north at the Mahanoy City exit for a motor vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer. At 9:55 AM today, scanner traffic said State Police were requesting fire police to help shut down the Interstate and northbound on-ramp at exit 131 (Hometown/Mahanoy City exit).
There are reports of one or two vehicle accidents, one involving a tractor trailer, between mile marker 131 and 133.(WNEP TV’s story)
