Below is a letter release from Martha M. Herron, PPL Regional Affairs Director.
——-
As another round of wintry weather heads our way, PPL Electric Utilities is prepared and ready to respond as quickly and as safely as possible to any outages.
With snow still clinging to trees and lines from Monday’s storm, we’re letting customers know to prepare for the possibility of snow and ice related outages with the approaching weather system.
We continuously maintain our system and invest in improvements for year-round reliability. It’s what our customers expect.
For example, our expanded tree trimming and clearing efforts along our power lines have already resulted in greater reliability for our customers. The program limits the effects of falling trees and branches on power lines and electrical equipment.
If you encounter downed lines, please stay away from them. Report outages by calling 1-800-DIAL-PPL (342-5775) or visiting our online Outage Center at www.pplelectric.com/outage.
We rely on customer reports to tell us about outages, so please do not assume someone else has reported it. The more information we have, the better we can respond.
We’re there for our customers in all seasons and in all kinds of weather.
Please be safe.
