TAMAQUA LEGION VISITS VETERANS AT HOMETOWN NURSING HOME

Members of the Tamaqua American Legion Post 173 spent time yesterday (Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014) visiting veterans at the Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. In addition to socializing, Legion members handed out blankets and handmade flag pins to all the veterans.
“I’m thrilled they took the time to come and visit us,” said Frances Bengtson-Watto, an Army veteran. Watto added that most of her family were also veterans.
