LUNGS FOR PAIGE MURPHY: Shenandoah family in need of financial donations.

Born on July 24, 1994, Paige Murphy, of Shenandoah, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. She is currently at the Pittsburg Medical Center in Pennsylvania as she waits for two new lungs. Here is her latest Facebook post:

“Everyone on here supporting me, I know its a tough time with the economy. but me and my mom are running out of money. I never imagined how costly food, shelter, med’s and every day essentials are out here. They won’t let me go home or I get off the list. Its really hard on me and my family. We’ve been trying fundraisers but we don’t really make much. So anyone even if its just a dollar its an extra dollar for me to stay here and get those lungs when ever they get here. You guys, your support, I never imagined having so many people who would pray for me.”

With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $500,000, many transplant families are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such a procedure.
Paige is the daughter of Constance and Patrick Murphy.
The doctors at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania have recommended a life-saving double lung transplant for Paige. All Paige and her family can do is wait. Every day they wait, creates a financial burden on them. Please show your support and donate.

  1. My children and I will have an extra PRAYER for you Paige. I seriously mean that. We are definitely doing the best we can by living the best way that the Bible and Daily Scripture says. I do believe that good can come to you. I had to start Chemo Therapy last March,1 2013 and with a lot of praying and trying to have a positive attitude seemed to work. I believe you have the faith, Yes there are ups and downs. When I start getting bummed out and depressed I just say a PRAYER and then rest. I hope that we will soon hear that your transplants were a success, God Bless You and Your Family.

  2. Dear Paige,
I’m not sure if you remember me but we used to be in the same school in Connections. I web-mailed you but then I realized that you were in 12th grade last year so that means you would have graduated. I don’t have a facebook, twitter or an instagram and so this was the only way I could reach you. From this website you have my email but I would love to chat with you just to see if everything is alright with you and if you got your lungs! Please, I hope you respond soon! Thanks
