Senator Dave Argall, today (Jan. 22, 2014), released a long list of local highway and bridge projects as part of the comprehensive transportation funding package approved by the Senate in November 2013.
Below is a list of related projects which the state will be able to complete, now that funding has been secured. In 2011, the Federal Highway Administration found that Pennsylvania had the most deficient bridges in the United States, with over 24 percent of our bridges deemed structurally deficient.
“Without this new funding, our roads, bridges and highways would continue to deteriorate,” said Argall, who spoke about this funding at a recent news conference in Berks County, highlighting some of the projects occurring in our region.
