WINNER Micah Gursky (Tamaqua, PA) Micah donated his prize to the Tamaqua Salvation Army. ANSWER This was taken at the John & Dorothy Morgan Center of Lehigh Carbon Community College on High Street in Tamaqua a few feet from the parking lot. The photo is of the granite engraving that was installed in the landscaping of the new Morgan Center, but originally was part of the facade of the former Tamaqua Junior High,which was the former high school.
Incorporating this vintage granite is a way to pay homage to the former use of the property and to signify the continuing use of the location for the eduation of Tamaquans. We should never forget our history and heritage. It is who, where and why we are.
